Why We Party
Our parties are more than a night of celebration. They raise funds for our Curious Creatures camp at Nowhere. Each event helps us build our desert home in Spain, complete with art, shade, workshops, a kitchen, and a sex-positive space. Every beat, every drink, and every shared moment contributes to the creation of that experience. The Creatures party is the event where we see our friends again, and make new ones!
What is Curious Creatures?
Curious Creatures is a non-profit, Burning Man–inspired community of artists, builders, lovers, and dreamers. We exist to create spaces where people can explore creativity, connection, and self-expression without judgment.
Our culture is rooted in the principles that shape the global Burning Man movement. We practice gifting and communal effort, co-creating our experiences without commerce. Nobody at our events get a salary and all funds go back into the community. Participation is at the heart of what we do; there are no spectators, only contributors. We celebrate radical self-expression, encouraging everyone to bring their full, unapologetic selves. And we take leave no trace seriously, respecting our spaces and the planet that hosts us.
Consent, respect, and care form the foundation of everything we do. below more on this topic. Our events are powered entirely by volunteers, and everyone in our community contributes in their own way. We have a vouching system for a reason. We want to select people who understand that we build this event together. Together we build environments where freedom, creativity, and intimacy can flourish safely.

Our Fundraising Goal
This year’s fundraiser has a clear and important purpose: to invest in a large stretch tent cover for our main structure at Nowhere.
Every year, our community pours heart and energy into building our desert home. A space for workshops, performances, shade, and connection. Yet, the harsh weather of the Monegros desert has challenged us time and again. Strong winds and sudden rainstorms have forced us to drop everything to “save the camp.” We literally had to stop ongoing orgies due to thunder and rain!
By reaching our fundraising goal of 10K euro, we can finally protect our shared space with a permanent, durable stretch tent that will keep us safe, shaded, and storm-proof for years to come. We did not reach our goal last event, which gives us the excuse to organize this one!
Your contributions, bids, and participation directly help us build a stronger, more resilient home for Curious Creatures at Nowhere. one where the focus can stay on art, play, and community, no matter what the desert throws at us.
Consent and Care
Curious Creatures is a sex-positive community, and our events are spaces where freedom, play, and intimacy can unfold safely. To make this possible, we practice and protect a strong consent culture.
Consent at Curious Creatures is always verbal, active, and ongoing. We do not assume or guess what others want. We ask, we listen, and we respect every answer. A clear yes means yes, anything else means no. Checking in is encouraged, it is part of how we take care of each other.
If you are bringing new people to the community, please take responsibility as their buddy. Check in with them during the night to make sure they are doing well, and help guide them if they seem unsure or cross a boundary. We grow as a community when we educate and support one another with empathy and clarity.
Our 12 Consent Rules
To keep our space safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone, we ask all participants to follow these essential consent rules:
1. Always approach from the front.
Never touch or surprise someone from behind, not even for a hug. Make sure you have eye contact and mutual acknowledgment before any physical interaction.
2. Seek consent every time.
Whether it is a hug, a touch, or play, always ask first and wait for a clear, enthusiastic yes. A lack of response, hesitation, or uncertain body language means no.
3. Build connection before making proposals.
While we value verbal consent and direct communication, please avoid making intense or sexual proposals without any buildup, connection, or context. Take time to engage, read the energy, and ensure mutual comfort before asking.
4. Be extra careful with people under the influence.
If someone has used drugs or alcohol, always check in verbally and clearly before any interaction. Intoxicated people may not be in a state to give proper consent. When in doubt, pause or stop.
5. Know your dose.
Use consciously and avoid overindulgence in drugs or alcohol. Our events thrive on awareness, connection, and care — stay present and mindful.
6. Nudity is not an invitation.
Many people express themselves through nudity or sensuality. This is not a signal for touch or sexual intent. Always respect boundaries, regardless of appearance or attire.
7. The playspace is not a cruising zone.
It is a consensual play environment, not a place for unsolicited advances. Interactions begin with communication, not assumption.
8. No photography or filming.
Cameras, phones, and recording devices are not permitted in any area where intimacy, nudity, or play may occur. Privacy and trust are essential to our community.
9. Do not assume everyone is here to play.
Our community includes people of all relationship styles. Some are monogamous, others are not open to play, and many come simply to dance, connect, or enjoy the atmosphere. Never assume consent or intent based on presence.
10. Manage your energy and self-awareness.
If you are emotionally charged, very intoxicated, or sexually frustrated, step back and self-regulate before engaging with others. Everyone is responsible for the energy they bring into the space.
11. Support others if you witness a boundary being crossed.
If you see something that feels off, check in with the affected person first and offer support. You don’t have to confront anyone, but silence can reinforce unsafe behavior. Community care means looking out for one another.
12. Curiosity does not equal availability.
Asking questions, observing, or expressing interest in play does not mean someone wants to participate. Interactions or openness with one person do not imply availability to others. Always clarify before assuming involvement.
After each event, we invite everyone to share their experience through a community feedback form, including reflections on consent and safety. This helps us learn, grow, and keep our spaces supportive and respectful.
If someone is named for crossing consent boundaries, we take it seriously. The organizing team will review the feedback carefully, and such reports may affect that person’s ability to join future Curious Creatures events.
Outfits, Costumes and the Theme: NEON TRIBE
The theme for this edition is NEON TRIBE. We chose this theme broadly to give you the most flexibility to find something which fits you. Tribal, Neon, Blacklight, let it shine!
Can you really not find an outfit which matches the theme? Then do not worry as we also accept the following dress code: Fetish, Kinky, Erotic and Burner
Curious Creatures is a space where self-expression thrives. Dressing up is not just encouraged it is part of the magic that makes the night come alive. Let your imagination run free, raid your costume box, or add a final touch of extravagance before the gates open. Whatever you do, do not come in your jeans or normal streetwear. If your outfit does not make people look at you in the metro or dam square, you are doing it wrong .
For those who still need inspiration or a few last pieces, we have collected some suggestions for last-minute outfit shopping in Amsterdam:
Diabolo , Hugs, Breathcatchers, Demask, Webers, RoB, Black Body, And Witbaard
